Abstract
Argumentation is a useful abstract mechanism in artificial intelligence; it has a wide range of applications. P.M. Dung´s abstract argumentation framework (AF) and assumption-based argumentation framework (ABF) are the most famous and fundamental argumentation frameworks. In this paper, we introduce these two frameworks, compare their differences and identify their relationships. These two frameworks and derivation process can instruct the late comers to construct an argument.
