  • Abstract
    A tribological analysis scheme for multibody system with clearance joints is presented by integrating frictional contact model, wear calculation with multibody dynamics. Clearance joints are modeled as a continuous contact model with friction. Progressive wear process is simulated by a widely used a finite-element-based iterative scheme. Frictional effect and wear of multibody system can be predicted combining the effects of changing joint clearance and dynamic behaviors. It is shown that maximum slider acceleration increases with friction efficient and wear of the bushing occurs more distinctly in specific zones.
