Abstract :
The principles and technologies of var compensation implemented with static capacitors, static Var compensator and static Var generator are concisely presents. The simulation and study for these methods are made. These methods´ merits and faults are also compared through the wave analysis after simulation. It is shown the SVG is even more advantageous to dynamically improve voltage regulation, stability, and power factor.
