  • Abstract
Summary form only given. A UTD (uniform geometrical theory of diffraction) computer code has been developed to take into account higher-order field contributions such as double-diffracted fields among plates and cylinders for the location of antennas on an aircraft structure. The experimental verification of the code in canonical cases has been carried out. The radiation/scattering of complex shapes can be obtained by simulating these structures with simple shapes that provide a sufficiently accurate representation of the dominant reflection and diffraction effects. Various cases have been studied by comparing experimental and theoretical results.<>
