Abstract :
This paper presents a CMOS active pixel, wafer-scale imager for high resolution x-ray detector primarily intended for medical imaging. The detector system is based on indirect way of detection via a scintillator. In this paper, we established a low capacitance, low dark current and highly reliable pixel as a key item of CMOS x-ray detector and determined the best approach to the pixel structure is the hole based (pMOS) pixel scheme with special device technology.
