Abstract :
Ever since the technique of the Kalman filter was popularized, there has been an intense interest in finding new classes of finite dimensional recursive filters. In 1990, Yau introduced a new class of finite dimensional recursive filter. In this paper, we report that at least in low dimensional state space, generically all finite dimensional recursive filters are necessarily Yau filters.
