Abstract :
Accuracy of digital elevation model (DEM) obtained by the Advanced Spaceborne Thermal Emission and Reflection Radiometer (ASTER) that has along-track stereovision is investigated. The pointing offset and stability of the radiometer is one cause of the geometric deviation of the ASTER DEM attached with orthorectified image. The correction methodology to be implemented to the data processing is suggested. A fine-tuning of image matching procedure leads to better reproduction of the topography. The comparison with reference DEM is described.
