Abstract :
The paper presents possibility of employing the method of double sampling of voltage and current signals in bioimpedance measurements. This method ensures the greater precision of determining the instantaneous value of the signal of periodic voltage (current) by elimination of an error, due to the sampling pulse length. Compared to other methods used in multifrequency detection circuits of bioimpedance analysers the presented method has a simple calculation algorithm and low cost of the meter circuit structure. The preliminary simulation study indicates usefulness of double sampling method in electroimpedance measurements of basal body components such as total body water, lean body mass or body fat
