Abstract
Classification is one of the most active research and application areas. Since Fisher´s famous discriminant analysis a plethora of algorithms for classification have been developed. This paper provides the survey of some of the important classification algorithms, outlines their advantages and disadvantages, analyzes the challenges encountered in practice nowadays and gives the promising solution to challenges.
