            Abstract : 
A definition of realization is introduced which does not explicitly depend on the initial condition of the system. Minimality of the realization then becomes a matter of reduction of the input-output differential equation. A second part of the note is devoted to an algorithm by which an affine realization is designed whenever it exists.
