  • Abstract
Considering the thermo-osmosis and thermal filtration effect, an analytical method is derived for the responses of a saturated thermoporoelastic media with a cylindrical cavity to variable thermal loading with time. For this, analytical solutions in Laplace transform space are first obtained and then numerically inverted by the Stehfest method. The results of a numerical example with an exponentially increasing thermal loading and a constant mechanical loading indicate that thermodynamically coupled effects have obvious influences on thermal responses of saturated media.
