Abstract :
According to the rolling behavior of some plate mill, a 3D elastic-plastic FEM model based on full restart skill of ANSYS/LS-DYNA was established for plate mill. The simulate to the multiple passes plate mill rolling procedures is achieved with the residual stress of previous pass is inherited. By comparing with measured data, it can be seen that the full restart method can be used to analyze the plate rolling process, it also means a new method can be used to simulate the plate plane pattern in plate in the plate rolling process.
