Abstract :
A multi-stage interrelated discrete system (MIDS) is defined. By modelling this kind of system and giving out human expertise rules, a novel concept of synthetic knowledge is put forward. Then, a new heuristic node-path intelligent search method is proposed. Finally, the optimal scheduling of MIDS is solved. The theory and methods given here have successfully been applied to the lube oil system in a large scale petroleum refinery, and provided satisfactory results.
