Abstract :
The problem of pole assignment in a specified circular region using a bilinear transformation onto a left plane in the complex plane is addressed in this paper. Both continuous and discrete systems are considered. A Lyapunov type test is developed to check that all poles of a continuous system are within a circle in the left half complex-plane. A state feedback law is determined for a continuous system by applying the bilinear transformation to the Bass algorithm.
