Abstract :
According to many problems during the procession of making titanium alloy cranial prosthesis, a method which combined with forward and reverse principle was applied for the individual making procession of titanium alloy cranial prosthesis. Based on CT data and reverse engineer method, the skull mathematical model was set up. The optimal mathematical model of prosthesis is set up by use of forward design method according to thin-plate spline interpolation for defect part surface based on curved surface expand extension of healthy side skull. The titanium alloy cranial prosthesis was made by multi-point forming pressure machine and multi-point forming CAD/CAM software. The research resolved the difficult about the individual making procession of titanium alloy cranial prosthesis, shorten the time of making procession, and improved the precision of titanium alloy cranial prosthesis.
