Abstract :
In this paper, we have introduced the design about Network electric energy meter which based upon Ethernet. The microprocessor in electric energy meter not only be used to process the gathered data which comes from measuring circuit, but also realize some parts of TCP/IP protocols. Depending on the control chip of Ethernet, the processed data can be transmitted on Internet. The whole system is very reliable, especially for remote meter reading.
