Abstract
If members of a suite of sensors are not co-located, it is unreasonable to assume that they share a common resolution cell grid. The idea is that if a target is known to be confined to an intersection of lit resolution cells, and this overlap is generally small, one can take advantage of this. In a previous paper the authors (1994) examined the effects of such "noncoincidence" with respect to tracking. In this paper the authors evaluate it from another viewpoint: detection.
