Abstract :
In this paper, two-dimensional piecewise multiple Chebyshev polynomials (2-PMCP) are studied in brief, and then a 2-PMCP approximation technique is applied to parameter identification for distributed parameter systems, and an efficient algorithm for parameter estimation is proposed. The presented identification algorithm is recurrent in computation, and it is easy to implement on a computer. An illustrated example shows the application and efficiency of the proposed algorithm
