Abstract :
In this paper, we review the development of the theories and applications of self-tuning control in more than two decades. Some typical approaches of identification and self-tuning control are involved, the analysis results of the performance of self-tuning controllers are discussed, the implementations and some products of self-tuning controller are summarized. With the progress of computer techniques and relative theories, such as AI and ANN, etc., the field of self-tuning control will be more active in future
