Abstract :
Summary form only given. Chief Information Officers (CIOs) are often in the position of justifying information systems resources especially when the business is not doing well overall. Being able to sensibly measure and communicate during difficult financial times is essential to meeting information systems goals of delivering quality products on time and maintaining employee morale. This paper introduces the systems enterprise measurement method concept using defined measures from an article titled “Mapping the dimensions of project success”. Using the four dimensions in the article, a measuring program that can be useful for CIOs for presenting the business value of information system projects to other executives. This measurement program will hopefully provide the next phase of project measurement by arming CIOs with measures that provide the value of information systems to the business. The next step is to obtain actual data and determine what trends exist in information systems projects
