Abstract :
The role of high pressures in studies on dielectric properties of two important antibiotic compounds has been discussed. These two important drugs in wafer forms were obtained through a specially prepared die through applications of different pressures ranging from 5 ton weight to 8 ton weight. The relaxation times of these two antibiotics i.e., streptomycin and terramycin vary in the range of 9.32 nsec to 10.62 nsec and 6.63 nsec to 14.47 nsec respectively. A model has been put forward which explains the mechanism or increase in the relaxation time related to the structure of these two complex molecules specially in the high frequency range of 10 MHz to 30 MHz
