Abstract :
A nonlinear model of electrically stimulated leg motion under transitions in mechanical load was identified. The quadriceps muscle group in paraplegic human subjects was stimulated using input pulse train signals involving modulation of either stimulus period (SP) and pulse width (PW). The ability of the model to correctly predict knee motions was evaluated.
