Abstract :
Manganese-based catalysts supported on TiO2 were studied for the oxidation of NO to NO2 in excess oxygen to remove NO from flue gas. Catalysts were prepared by incipient impregnation, excessive dipping and ultrasonic improved impregnation. The effects of precursor, manganese loadings, preparation method of catalysts and calcination temperature of catalysts on NO oxidation were investigated in details. Mn/TiO2-10% catalysts made from Mn(NO3)2 and prepared by excessive dipping had the highest NO oxidation. More than 60% NO conversion was obtained at 200degC under the condition of 500 ppm NO, 3% O2 and the balance N2, GHSV=19,200 h-1.
