Abstract
In the research for high rate - high resolution spectroscopy, adaptive filters have proven to be an interesting choice. We introduce adaptive filters which can be easily implemented in a digital processor, have a very good suppression of baseline wandering and the definite advantage of generating Gaussian peaks. Output rate can increase of more than 30% with respect to non-adaptive filters of identical duration. The filters belong to a category of shapings which include the zero-area Deyghton filters.
