Abstract :
Based on CATIA, the method of generating involute cylindrical gear 3D solid is studied, and a precise involute cylindrical gear generic parameterized 3D solid model is Proposed and established. In the generic parameterized 3D solid model, Just inputting the basic parameters of gear can respectively obtain a corresponding exact 3D solid model with the standard or the modified spur or helical gear. It shows an important feature of the modern computer-aided design, Moreover; it provides an accurate and reliable 3D solid model to study the cylindrical gear CAD/CAM.
