Abstract :
The nature of charge-dipole interactions in polymers can be studied by many experimental techniques. Some of these techniques and their results are discussed with respect to their potential to distinguish between the importance of either dipoles or charges or their interaction with respect to the properties and physical characteristics of polymer electrets. PVDF and the copolymer P(VDF/TrFe), as in some respect representative examples, are the basis of the discussion
