Abstract :
This paper presents a novel method of frequency hopping/ multilevel FSK (FH/MFSK) pattern by lump likelihood ratio calculation decision and its application for power line communication (PLC). In the method, the whole likelihood ratio value from both time-axis and frequency-axis together is calculated for coherent detection or non-coherent detection, and the desirable value can be obtained against a fluctuated transmission line. Applying for high frequency PLC, it is shown bit error rate (BER) of the system by the proposed method can be much improved to compare with that by the conventional decision methods for coherent detection or non-coherent detection.
