Abstract
support fault tolerance in the management of workflow-oriented services, which involves three main functionalities: service composition, service allocation and execution, service monitoring and fault handling. Through service composition technique, the existing element services can be combined to construct composite service, which are executed as workflow process. Enhanced WSDL is adopted in this model to support the dynamic deploying of the element services on the available servers for execution. During the execution of the element services, a policy driven fault tolerance mechanism is adopted by using policies to define the fault specifications and direct the process of fault monitoring and handling through event notification.
