Abstract :
In view of the operation characters of permanent magnet synchronous motor (PMSM) for hybrid electric vehicle (HEV) application, efficiency optimization control strategy is needed to meet the demand of rapidity. An efficiency optimized vector control scheme is presented in this paper. The initial value of d-axis current can be achieved in any constant speed and torque operating point by loss model, and optimized through the gradient search technique and the golden section technique. Results of experiments are provided to demonstrate the effectiveness of the proposed method.
