Abstract :
Traditional involute gears transmission problems are discussed in this paper, optimum design of the tooth profile is elicited, and then the involute-circular arc gear is introduced. The parametric model of the involute-circular arc gear is built based on the UG/NX. Bending stresses of involute-circular arc gears and traditional involute spur gears are theoretically analyzed, and explain why the bending fatigue life of involute-circular arc gear is improved. Assembly models of involute spur gears and involute-circular arc gears are built in UG/NX, then which are imported to the ADAMS to carry out the kinematics simulation, subsequently correlative graphs are extracted to analyze and verify that the transmission performance of involute-circular arc gears is better than traditional involute spur gears´, and theoretical guidance for optimum design and practical manufacture of involute-circular arc gears is provided.
