CCENet: Framework for Knowledge Based Collaborative Environments in Internet

CCENet is a framework addressed to simplify and standardize the construction of distributed knowledge based collaborative environments in the Internet. The knowledge is semantically described and stored in several nodes distributed in the Internet and is globally accessible from every node. The framework is divided in several modules with functionality to store and retrieve distributed knowledge and includes also functionality to manage users, collaboration, collaborative networks and the stored knowledge. An example using CCENet is presented which is a prototype of a cognitive collaboration system for teachers to share educational course contents online.
