Abstract :
Sign language is the primary means of communication for deaf and mute people. In this language, not only hand gestures but also head and body movements and facial expressions are used to convey information. Sign language analysis is an important field of research in computer vision, natural language processing, linguistics and psychology. In this work we present an overview of sign language analysis and recognition techniques and their application to develop interactive tools for sign language education.
