Abstract :
The problem of increasing the efficiency in case of electro-mechanical energy conversion by induction motors is considered from the technical and economical point of view. It is shown that in order to fulfill the technical performance of the induction motors the increasing of the outer diameter of the lamination is compulsory compared to the actually MEC motors. Examples of design are given for general purpose induction motors in the range of frames 90-132.
