Abstract :
This paper analyzed the interactive pattern of traffic flow of three macro regions: urban, suburban and outside city based on real Beijing expressway´s toll collection data. The method to calculate traffic volume between large OD regions were presented and a series of experiments were done to find out specific relationship on traffic volume of these large OD regions in different time spans. Some advices to expressway construction were discussed according to the results, which can provide a reference for making traffic decision.
