Abstract :
We investigate the tuning properties of the surface states in a one-dimensional photonic crystal containing a Nematic liquid crystal as a cap layer. Using the supercell method based on plane wave expansion, the dependence of surface states on the alignment of liquid crystal directors have been studied.
