Abstract
In this paper we propose a direction-of-arrival based smart antenna algorithm that is efficient for cellular mobile systems. The proposed algorithm efficiently suppresses interferences without main beam shift by using a structured interference covariance matrix. We compare the performance of the proposed algorithm with those of the well-known LCMV and reference signal-based algorithms in scattering scenarios that typically arise in mobile environments.
