Abstract :
Frequency shift and line broadening of 901 and 767 cm-1 Raman active modes in KGd(WO4)2 crystal were investigated in 15-300degK temperature range. It was found that frequency of 901 cm-1 mode was reduced and frequency of 767 cm-1 was increased with heating. Both modes were broadened with temperature increase that could result in reduction of the Raman gain coefficient. The slope values of temperature dependencies were determined at room temperature.
