Officers´ reports

The strategic plan for Conferences and Technical events was discussed during the Society Officers meeting in Atlanta, GA, on Feb. 21-23 and the Society Ad-Com meeting in Minneapolis, MN, on May 10-11. During the meetings, it was confirmed that Conferences are among the most important activities of the Society because they provide members with the opportunity to be involved in and to promote scientific and technical advancements in the area of instrumentation and measurement, thus boosting their professional careers. The new Society strategic plan recognizes that the mission of the Conference Committee and is summarized here.
