Abstract :
A radar signal generator with high frequency and high accuracy is developed in this paper. It adopts the TMS320F206 to control the direct digital synthesizer (DDS) by real-time frequency-tuning-word (FTW) calculation with the algorithm of taking the average of the lower 16 bits instead of the query mode. A phase locked loop (PLL) is added after the digital analog converter (DAC) and hence the high frequency and spurs reduction are obtained. A prototype is tested and the results show the utility of the above scheme.
