Abstract
The paper presents the efforts made in order to ensure the accuracy of electrical energy measurements, an activity which is submitted to mandatory state metrological control. The main mission of the Romanian Bureau of Legal Metrology (BRML) is to ensure the scientific background for the consistency and accuracy of measurements in Romania. The measuring instruments and the installations used in the public domain to measuring electrical energy fall under the regulated area and are submitted to mandatory state metrological control. In this case, one of the objectives of the Romanian Bureau of Legal Metrology is to prevent incorrect measurements in order to protect the consumer.
