Abstract
A theory for scattering of excess electrons in atomic liquids with high atomic polarizability is proposed. The theory is based on the variable phase method and does not require any information about the short-range part of the electron-atom potential. Scattering of electrons by fluctuations of liquid density can be taken into account in the framework of the theory. Mobility and mean and characteristic energies of electrons as functions of electric field strength are calculated for liquid density, where the scattering of electrons by the density fluctuations predominates
