Abstract
The problem of the currents on wire bundles inside a rectangular cavity, when one or more of the wires are excited is formulated. The wire currents are expanded in a truncated Fourier series with unknown coefficients which are determined by imposing appropriate boundary conditions. This leads to a very efficient and stable computer code that can obtain the solution for wire bundles of several wires in seconds of computer time. Several examples are presented including that of probes in cavities. The results can be readily applied to predict EMP penetration on ships, aircraft or equipment enclosure.<>
