Abstract :
A 200 kVA mobile test facility (MTF) has been built to verify functionality of electronic equipment subjected to poor power supply quality. The function, design, and testing of the facility are documented. The types of disturbances the MTF can create include line voltage imbalance, voltage and current harmonic distortion, temporary power interruption, fundamental frequency variations, and voltage transients. Results from startup testing and prove-in are presented to demonstrate its usefulness. Potential roles of such a power quality tester in future research are explored.<>
