  • Abstract
In this paper, a direction of arrival (DOA) estimation method for wideband sources based on constant-Q (bandwidth to center frequency ratio) subband MVDR (minimum variance distortionless response) is proposed. By constant-Q subband decomposition, fewer subbands are needed to perform DOA estimation than usual FFT narrowband decomposition methods. Furthermore, in order to deal with coherent sources such as in a complex multipath environment, we use spatially resampling technique to focus all subband subspaces to a reference one. Simulation results and practical experiment data indicate that the method is effective and has low computation load.
