Abstract
A general-purpose algorithm for numerical evaluation of electromagnetic scattering by arbitrary-shape bodies has been implemented. A test function for the normal component of the augmented electrical-field integral equation (AEFIE) is presented. The resulting matrix has been optimized to save CPU time and computer memory. The condition number has been evaluated, showing that the matrix related to the AEFIE has no instabilities. Numerical results for the scattering cross sections are presented. A good agreement is obtained when the results obtained with this test function are compared with known theoretical and numerical results, respectively, for the sphere and the cube.<>
