Abstract :
This paper calculates the single conductor corona inception voltage and corona inception electric field based on a corona inception voltage criterion. The calculated results agree with the results of Peek formula well. At the same time this paper analyzes the effect of air pressure, temperature and height above sea level on the corona inception voltage and corona inception electric field. It is found that the single conductor corona inception voltage and corona inception electric field become lower when the air pressure decreases, which is not good for electrical environment.
