Abstract
In this paper we study the issue of providing an efficient and heterogeneous handover in mobile networks which involve network access control based on the extensible authentication protocol. The goal is to provide a smooth transition between different technologies without jeopardizing the overall performance during handover process. We propose and analyze a simple but efficient security-oriented architecture that allows a smooth transition between different technologies with different security requirements.
