Abstract
As an open standard for data representation, XML breathes new energy into Web applications and electronic commerce. In this paper, the authors elucidate the concepts and connotations of XML, introduce the system structure and functional model of the e-commerce system ESHOPDIY (Electronic Shop Do-It-Yourself) which we developed by integrating three kinds of e-commerce sales styles, [business-to-consumer (B2C), business-to-business (B2B) and consumer-to-consumer (C2C)]; deal with developing technology and the realization of ESHOPDIY; and finally discuss its features
