Abstract :
Through the increasing use of electric actuators, the induction motor is now major in industrial applications and takes a particular interest for applications requiring high power and variable speed robustness and for its simplicity and its low cost. The early detection for motor deterioration can increase plant availability and safety in an economical way. To improve the reliability as a whole, a great effort on the diagnosis, prevention and surveillance is now done in order to ensure their performances. This paper presents a technical method based on spectral analysis of stator currents to detect the faults of broken rotor bars using more sophisticated models of the type of multi-circuit windings meshes adopted for the faults. The technique used and the obtained results show clearly the possibility of extracting signatures to detect and locate faults.
