Abstract
In this third millennium, the world is undergoing a revolution where technologies are being introduced almost daily. Until now, paperless has been a long dream of every organization and individual, which never became a reality. We unveil all available technologies covering the communication, storage device, and retrieval methodologies toward paperless activities. We view this from the perspective of the provider and end user. By understanding the point of view of both parties, it will help when deciding or concluding the real future of the approached technologies. We also cannot run away with legal issues, so we look into any factors which affect or demoralize this idea of a paperless and green world
